Cisco reads the Gravity Jack blog or our mind?
So I have been telling my wife Jill for years that augmented reality will lead to a virtual networked brain, seriously ask her how many times I have put her to sleep with my raves about how my data will be my thoughts and that will all be shared. Little did she know I could [...]
Dell Tablet works for Augmented Reality
Apple sure got it wrong not putting a camera on the iPad. Dell got it right, they put two! About twice the size of an iPhone I can totally see this as a great platform for AR apps. It runs Android too. Great job Dell!

Android, iPhone, Blackberry oh my
I was reading the latest Distimo report (found via VentureBeat) and they have some interesting findings which impact software developers. The key thing is that this is measured data – it isn’t guesswork about -it is raw fun loving data.

Microsoft just brought sexy back
…I realized the change was like upgrading from Windows 3.1 to Windows 7. Now Microsoft has done something cool again, which just goes to show you that billions of dollars can still effect change (unless of course the government is doing the spending)
Who needs augmented reality?
This is just about the most impressive set of modeling I have seen. These aren’t 3d models either… Who needs augmented reality when you can just make your own. (Just kidding we need AR but this is still really cool)

Quantum computing is coming!
VIA GizMag
The superfast computers of tomorrow will likely be able to manipulate individual electrons, harnessing their charge and magnetism to achieve massive data storage and outstanding processing speeds at very low power requirements. But how exactly do you go about manipulating single electrons independently, without affecting the ones nearby? Princeton University’s Jason Petta has recently [...]
See miles away in augmented reality
Want to zoom in on someone’s nose hair from a mile away, and watch it sway in the wind 540 times per second? Well then read on!
What would PETA say?
Its poor little punched-out eyes blink red with the horror of having LEDs shoved in them, every time it makes a data transfer. Video of the post-life torture after the jump.
Body motion powered devices
Augmented Reality is just a step towards ubiquitous computing. Something I have literally been dreaming about since I was a kid. Computers are devices now – but eventually they will be a part of what we wear, and eventually they will be a part of what everyone wears in community computing…..
