Mixed reality mobile app experience, exploring the all new MKX model through the use of augmented reality (AR) and a 360º 3D interior tour.
Gravity Jack was approached by Ford Motor Company's agency of record to create a mobile experience that allows users to view the all new MKX luxury SUV in a completely new and engaging way. Users of the app scan an MKX marker to trigger a life-sized, AR rendering of the vehicle – allowing them to view the SUV from all angles and even capture images of friends and family alongside the vehicle to share to the branded library and social media.
To explore the inside, Gravity Jack customized a high definition, 3D rendering of the MKX interior. Simply by moving their device around, users can pan and view the interior as though they were sitting in the driver's seat.
A key element of this project was the requirement to develop the application, natively in Mandarin. While a challenge, Gravity Jack delivered with flying colors, only translating the application to english once the localization was complete.
